The Menzies Medal

Steve ‘Beaver’ Menzies is a Sea Eagles legend. He has played locally since his beginnings in junior rugby league and is now in his 17th season, having represented Manly-Warringah, NSW and Australia. Steve is greatly admired by fans and is considered a local treasure and a standard setter.

The Menzies Medal will be awarded annually to the person selected as the Sea Eagles ‘Supporter of the Year’. This is a high profile way in which the Club can acknowledge the contribution of supporters. The winning nominee will be given a medallion to reward ‘outstanding service as a true Sea Eagles supporter: committed to the team, win or lose, good times and bad; loyal through and through’.

Nomination forms

Nomination forms are available for download or can be picked up from the Manly Leagues Club or the Sea Eagles Offices at Narrabeen. Forms will need to be posted to Menzies Medal, PO Box 607, Brookvale NSW 2100 or fax to 02 9972 4022). The form must be submitted by close of business on Friday 16 May.

Announcement

The Menzies Medallist for 2008 will be announced at the Sea Eagles home game against St George on Friday 23 May.
